After launching two families of security power supplies AD-55/AD-155(enclosed type) and PSC-60/100(PCB type with optional case), MEAN WELL continues to introduce another new AC/DC enclosed type single output security power units ~ SCP-35 (35W), SCP-50(50W), SCP-75(75W) series. Featuring with energy saving concept and constant voltage output design, these series provide energy for battery charging and also for peripheral security devices by the remaining electric power, in order to fulfill the special requirement of security system, access control, alarm system, or battery backup related applications. Compare to AD-55 series, SCP series has 8-times more charging capability that can significantly reduce the charging time for the system. In addition, these new generation of MEAN WELL security power product increase the working efficiency by 10~12% and along with the feature of very low ג€œno load power consumptionג€ (<0.75W), the whole family can be declared as real energy-saving.

Designed by high frequency switching topology, SCP-35/50/75 series allow AC input for 85~264VAC. Featuring up to 86% of operating efficiency, it can work under 60°C of high ambient temperature by only free air convection, in accordance with the airtight working environment of security systems and hence are very suitable to install into the cabinet of security system. The SCP series are designed to have both terminal block and wires for output connection, which provides more flexibility to the installation job. Other built-in functions include battery voltage detection, battery temperature compensation (by external NTC thermistor), battery polarity protection (by fuse), and protections for short circuit, overload, and over voltage.
